Chapter 1
It was midnight.
Calvin and his convoy left a pub and went toward the inn they were staying at.
Chapter 2
They came upon a street with a great ruckus.
It appeared that city guards were clashing with protesters.
Signs were being waved.
Stun-bows were shooting from both sides.
The guards crept forward behind big stun-shields.

Part 1
Chapter 1
Calvin, also known as Pyramid Man, was in a city called Tide Shelf.
The nation, called Shadow, was a neighbour to Calvin's home country, Gaia.
He was with his convoy. They were in Tide Shelf to celebrate the re-opening of Shadow.
Many of the evacuated nations on the planet of Corterrum had been re-opened, including Gaia.
Chapter 2
Calvin was happy to visit Tide Shelf and socialize there.
He and his convoy had arrived by cart and horse.
They left the inn they were staying at to join the festivities.

Part 1
Chapter 1
An election was taking place in Rit.
The votes were read and the leader was announced. The Taluses, a government party, would take over control for Rit.
Flynn, the leader of the Taluses, became Rit's leader.
Chapter 2
Rit was working with other countries to help folks settle on other planets.
Settling on three different planets had so far begun. The people of Corterrum had already settled on another planet a decade ago.
All nations were going full steam ahead on settling on other planets.

Chapter 7
The faction ships and priests continued with the surge and it continued to shrink.
They were successful in dissipating the sudden surge.
Ace breathed.
He went to their flying vehicle to get heat gear.
Chapter 8
Weth and her companions returned to the inn they were staying at.

Earl drank at a pub. He was in disbelief that Pillar was saved.

Chapter 5
Hours had passed. The surge was still close to Pillar.
Ace remained holding the surge back. He was losing strength. Convoy members were continuously giving him water.
Chapter 6
Faction ships, more than a hundred, descended upon Pillar, Gemini.
The newest types of contentment gases flew into the surge.
Many more priests joined the others in holy water dousing.
The surge began to noticeably dissipate.

Chapter 3
Glade and others from the convoy arrived by Ace's side.
They fed him water; they encouraged and calmed him.
“The surge is pushing back,” Julia said. “They'll be able to dissipate it.”
“Use your strength Ace,” Glade said.
Chapter 4
The lightning surge outside of Pillar had dissipated some. It was still massive.
Ace had some hope. He held the surge, also fearing he would lose focus and lose sway of the surge.

The surge had moved back some though Ace was still holding it. If he let go the surge would likely envelop the city.
Folks from Pillar were fleeing in other directions.
Chapter 2
An hour had passed. Heat from holding the large surge sizzled through Ace. He felt his body shaking.
Holy water and contentment gases flew.
Ace was beginning to fear the worst.

Chapter 1
Flying vehicles out of Pillar released contentment gases into the surge.
The surge was huge.

Priests and others left the city to douse the surge with holy water.
Chapter 2
Weth stood at the wall of lightning. Many were around praying and dousing.
The holy water hissed as it landed against the lightning.

The surge shrunk back some against the holy water.
The priests went on working.
Many figured the surge would soon consume Pillar.

Chapter 3
Ace held out both of his arms, focusing on the surge. He then commanded the surge to stop with his mind.
The surge crept toward him; he focused on holding it back.
Chapter 4
Ace's mind became clear.
The surge slowed against his will.
He felt a pressure against him like a wind; his insides seemed to heat up.
Ace opened his eyes. The surge stood before him, unmoving.

Chapter 1
Ace said to Glade, “Land the ship.”
The flying vehicle landed inside Pillar near a city gate.
Ace got off the ship, skipping the heat gear.
He raced outside of the city.
Chapter 2
Ace had transformed into his new version. Ace the elementalist with long red hair and red eyes.
He stared down the wall of the lightning surge. It was grand-looking. It sparked as it advanced, looming over him and Pillar.
