The quake strengthened.
Landslides began around the mountain.
The horses were bolting as landslides started to chase them.
Chapter 4
Ace transformed into his elementalist form. His eyes and hair turned red.
“Maybe I can hold back some of the rocks in this form,” he said.
He attempted to psychically command some of the rocks of the pursuing landslide to slow.
Ace focused but was unable to alter the course of the rocks.
The landslide hurtled their way ferociously.

Glade had taken out a stun-blaster and threw it at the landslide. A stun-blaster caused a wave of stun-energy. This seemed to hold back the landslide some.
He and others threw more stun-blasters.
Miraculously the carts reached the mountain's bottom. They went onto a field road. The horses raced away. The landslide went after them but missed.
