Chapter 3
Into a room of trinkets and books.
Bell, with black hair and a square jaw, stood behind a cluttered counter.
“Greetings,” Bell said.
“Hi there,” Ace said. “I’m in search of a certain book sir. ‘Eras of Corterrum’, it’s called.”
Bell thought, “I think we still have it.”
He went around the counter to look at the bookshelves.
Ace waited.
“Indeed we do. Here it is.”
“Perfect,” Ace said.
Bell took it to the counter.
“Three thousand currency.”
Ace produced that amount in currency bills.
“Thank you kindly,” Bell said.
“Thank you.”
“Come back again.”
“I will sir.”
Chapter 4
Ace went back to the ship’s deck with the grand-book in hand.
“Got it,” he said to the others. “To the ship.”
