Chapter 1

Aero, Weregoyle’s diplomat, was in the city of Gates. He was meeting with Rose, the nation’s leader.

A storm was proceeding outside. Wind and rain battered the walls and windows of the city castle.

They were in mid-conversation about the fossil fuels and oil crisis that had befallen Corterrum.

“What will you do m’lady?” Aero asked her.

“We will put all of our fossil fuels and oil in reserve as Rit is suggesting,” Rose said. “I'm concerned the curses will return soon. We must only use vehicles in extreme situations, such as emergencies.”

Minutes of quiet passed.

“I'm afraid, Aero.”

“As am I m’lady.”

Chapter 2

Rose ordered the halt of all use of fossil fuels and oil in Weregoyle.

The oil and fuels were put in reserve.
