Chapter 1

Earl, half-cat lawman, was riding through Pillar on his horse.

The city had calmed since the animal curses dissipated.

The news going through the city was that use of all vehicles had to be halted. If more oil and fossil fuels were used the curses would return much worse Rit was saying.

Chapter 2

Gemini, the nation Pillar was in, had yet to announce that they were putting all their fossil fuels, oil in reserve. 

Flying vehicles seemed to be flying over Pillar more than ever.

Earl and his horse wandered the city sensing for uprest.
