Part 1

Chapter 1

“All Stoneborough citizens are evacuating,” Ellen said to Viola, who was sharing a back seat with her.

“The ground vehicle folks are evacuating to the three nations that border Stoneborough,” Viola said.

“Yes. The nations are allowing us in. The volcanoes will scorch much of Stoneborough. I'm not sure when we’ll be able to return, especially with the nature curses.”

Chapter 2

Ellen heard a ding from her communicator device. She looked at it.

“One of the volcanoes is erupting,” she said. “The others are expected to erupt very soon.”

“Will everyone make it out of Stoneborough?” Viola asked.

“I am hopeful of that yes.”

“Will we make it out?”

The car’s driver said, “Madam we will be passing one of the volcanoes’ vicinities shortly. It could disrupt some of the roads.”

“Go faster,” Ellen said.

Ellen sent messages to some of her staff, telling them to communicate to all on Stoneborough roads to speed up.
