Part 1
Chapter 1
Traveling to Keyton for Ace’s convoy was difficult.
Some areas had extreme winds so the flying vehicle was frequently re-routed.
After several hours the vehicle reached Spirit Island’s capital.
Chapter 2
Tarver welcomed Ace to his throne room.
“Sir,” Ace bowed.
“Ace, good to see you,” Tarver said. “What brings you here during such strife?”
“I am bonded to a grand-book being who knows of another grand-book being, one that might know what to replace the oil and fossil fuels with. I went to bond with this other grand-book being. It has some ideas on how to solve this. The plan involves going to ask specific ghosts on what to use for replacements. To contact these ghosts we need use of Spirit Island’s ancient masks. I beg you; please let us use the masks for this. You've heard of the upcoming conditions shift.”
Tarver said, “I have. The shift is expected to be cataclysmic.”
“And soon; in weeks. If these ghosts can tell us what to replace oil, fossil fuels with we must speak with them.”
“I'll come with you,” Tarver said. “And some from our government. Where are we to use the masks?”
“In certain caves in Oasis.”
