Chapter 5

A guard let Ace and Glade in the throne room.

Garret smiled at them.

He stood by a table adorned with papers. 

Garret had short brown hair, glasses; he was wearing a suit.

“You've returned,” he said. “Happy to see you.”

“Sir,” Ace and Glade said.

“You've done very well with your assignments,” Garret said. “Good job keeping Ace on track, Glade.”

“Thank you sir,” Glade said.

“Gentlemen it will be a month or more until your next assignment,” Garret said. “Thank you for your hard work.

“I'm adding someone to your convoy. A journalist. With you all doing so well I want a journalist there to help report on your efforts.

“I'll have a guard go get her.”

Chapter 6

A guard came into the throne room followed by a fish-person woman. She had beautiful eyes. She was slender and tall.

“This is Julia,” Garret said. “She will be with your convoy for the assignments.”
